How Counselling Can Help

People come to counselling for many different reasons.


You might be experiencing:


• anxiety or constant worry
• low mood or depression
• bereavement and loss
• stress or feeling overwhelmed
• relationship or family difficulties
• trauma or past experiences
• difficulties managing emotions


Or it might be something harder to put into words - just a sense that things aren’t quite right.


Counselling gives you the space to explore this at your own pace.

My Approach

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw from a range of approaches including humanistic, psychodynamic and CBT.


At the core of my work is creating a genuine, supportive relationship where you feel heard, understood and accepted without judgement.


There’s no expectation to have everything figured out. Sessions are led by you and move at a pace that feels comfortable.

What to Expect

Starting counselling can feel like a big step, so it’s completely normal to feel unsure.


Sessions provide a confidential space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind.


Everything discussed in sessions is confidential, within professional and safeguarding guidelines.


You don’t need to prepare anything in advance - just coming along is enough.


I offer both short-term and long-term counselling depending on your needs.

• adults
• children and young people (aged 5+)


Sessions are adapted to suit the individual, creating a space that feels appropriate, safe and supportive.

Session Options

Counselling sessions are available:


• face-to-face 

• online
• via telephone

This allows flexibility depending on what feels most comfortable for you.
